Archaeologists are rebuilding the Temple of Hecate in Lagina in Turkey and I am thrilled.
Went home for the weekend to visit my dad and his garden. We got all riled up on caffeine and caught up. It was good. Also scored some cuttings from some obscure fruit tree in the nightshade family that even my dad doesn't know the name of. He got it from a friend who gave a cutting from her tree. It tasted like a melony tomato. I liked it. I hope it roots. It's looking a little wilty right now because I probably waited a little too long to put it in water. He told me stories and his voice got quivery and he cried a little when recalling what a good man my uncle was. He cries at the same things I cry at. It's the happy memories that get us.
Delta virus is here and I'm masking with passion as I watch the case numbers spike. My former dance teacher moved back home. So much has closed and everything changed. Most (smart, conscientious) people aren't up for doing things indoors anymore, vaccinated or not. But I wouldn't go so far as to call it "apocalypse." It's a challenging time, for sure, but no need to be all evangelical-dramatic.
I'm pretty tired out from yesterday. I stayed up too late because of the long drive home. It was worth it though.
Tomorrow M wants to see me and I'm not sure about it. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
