On Saturday I watched a huge dirty crowded jeep-like vehicle with a Utah license plate repeatedly rear-end an Asian woman with a California plate driving alone. The SUV from Utah appeared to be intentionally bullying the car in front of them, accelerating, then screeching on the brakes to nudge the car in front again and again. The Californian woman looked stressed but unconfrontational, and appeared afraid to pull over.
Ten minutes later I saw another enormous SUV, COVERED in bumper stickers about anti-same-sex-marriage, jesus, troops, anti-abortion, and so on. It looked pretty out of place downtown. I obviously missed some kind of Mormon demonstration.
Other than the weird out-of-state visitors, I have nothing dramatic to report. I'm fairly content for the time being. I feel like myself in my new cobra snake earrings. I look fierce in them. I'm turning everything red again: nails, hair, paintings, lampshade... Because my blood is flowing again. I am counting the good things about life. Whatever you are, embrace it. If you don't, who will?
