The place where my ancestors come from has a third gender that is considered ABOVE women, so they don't demand to be labeled as women and don't bully so-called "terfs" for rejecting the binary system.

This is why the notion of 'trans women are women' and 'terfs' seem unnecessary, at least in the context of my cultural background. It's western patriarchal religion that created the binary. Muxe are lucky they aren't necessarily women and should be proud to be the favored gender of the three main genders. It's as easy as 1-2-3.
It seems like this flies over the heads of most people, the idea that other cultures don't have this problem, and that a lot of problems would be solved and unity restored if more people adopted the indigenous way of looking at gender.
