The forced sterilizations of women, the forced pregnancies of raped women... I've had about enough news about men using women's bodies as political pawns, and in general.
I've also had enough of men bothering me on social media, constantly asking me to hang out when I already said no every time since the start of 2020. I've put a couple men on mute who don't seem to respect boundaries. Men who don't respect a woman's boundaries? What are the chances, I know.
(Obvious sarcasm.)
One of them mailed a package to me that I did not ask for. He has a tendency to make decisions for me without asking. He doesn't know that I generally abhor receiving gifts. His gift of course has strings attached (he thinks) which I also did not ask for. He even got angry at me for being uncomfortable with a remark he made about my looks, as if I need to try harder? (I'm not trying to impress someone I don't even like, wtf?) My reply was barely confrontational. I simply joked 'well hopefully your gift makes me more attractive since apparently I'm not attractive enough.' THAT alone provoked him to write a lot of angry lines long after I'd already muted him and logged off. He berated me saying it was a "low blow" and went off at me for several paragraphs. You've got to be kidding me. He can put me down but if I say anything about it, even in a light humorous way, he thinks he has the right to harass me even more? Yikes. Men are a hoot.
Fortunately I am not in a relationship with him! I am so grateful to live alone in peace. It'd be nice not to need to block irritating men every time I log on to see what my friends are doing.
I read about some Turkish women who murdered men who abused them. One beheaded her rapist and held his head by the hair and dumped it in the village square while proclaiming to male onlookers that she saved her honor from the man who played with her honor. The male judges still forced her to give birth to her dead rapist's baby that no one wanted. Still, what she did was very brave. She did it for all the women who didn't live long enough to have the opportunity. The other Turkish woman killed her incredibly abusive husband and turned herself in saying 'Must women always die? Some men should die too.'
That is some queen shit. I don't generally condone murder, but these women are heroes for all humankind. It's worth a google, check it out.
