Cranked up the beats and played bowling online with strangers. Amused myself dancing and singing in the alley until I was sweaty. Then someone invited me to a private alley so that was fun. It's hilarious to make my avatar dance. It's hilarious that I'm a gamer now. It's good to try new things, yes? Keeping those neural pathways flexible.
Then I sipped peppermint tea and did yin yoga while focusing on my breathing. I'm proud of myself because, before pandemic I could barely hold one yoga pose without my poor atrophied muscles trembling and getting tired. But now! I am in better shape than I've been in since... probably ever.
Music is keeping the seratonin flowing, games keep the dopamine flowing, exercise keeps the blood flowing, and I feel stress-free walling up at home knowing my health is not at risk from the omicron that lurks outside my door.
Oddly haven't heard a peep from my anti-masker friend who performed at a NYE show in a location where the case count is very very bad and hospitals are busting at the seams. She's probably sick, because she never goes this long without posting instagram stories, and basically everyone else I know is sick now.
It's good to be home and warm and safe and comfortable.
