Hey. I just saw a fabulous movie. I was really excited about it, the depth of its characters and storyline, the profoundly beautiful symbolism of grief and death, the historical accuracy and respectful depiction of the main character... I really wanted to discuss it after watching, unfortunately my conversation partner was male, which I find often leaves much to be desired in the intellect department. Rather than have my thoughts go unappreciated, I dropped him off because I'd rather be alone the rest of the night than be not listened to or understood by someone sitting right next to me with an attention span of a five year old.
That aside, it was a good day. Today I'm grateful for excellently made films that have MY full attention span. I'm grateful to find deeper meaning in the arts and enjoyment in critical analysis. I'm grateful for good conversationalists like the ones I enjoyed last week. I'm grateful I got out of the house today and that my nausea dissipated long enough to eat full meals. I'm also super excited about the books I bought today and am going to start reading them right now.
Hope your day/evening is going well and that all the things that excite you are listened to and matched with equal enthusiasm by someone interesting to talk with. May your brain be challenged, exercised, and interacted with, because you are smart and a mind like yours deserves to be appreciated, completely.
