Yesterday I went to a foresty park with M. He brought food, I brought drinks, and we hiked up to a hill without humans, and ate and talked about our day. Finding somewhere to pee is always a comedy so I always come prepared with a skirt or dress so I can covertly pee while looking like I'm just crouching down to look at flowers. If the city doesn't want my pee all over the shrubbery I guess they should probably have open bathrooms or stop locking port-o-potties to taxpayers with bladders.
We also stopped by a beach we'd never been to and made friends with a bird. Then he remembered he needed to pick up important medication before the pharmacy closed so I drove through downtown which wasn't really as bad as I expected.
Today I'm grateful for summer weather, birds, trees, picnics, and the fact that I'm alive and at least partially vaccinated. Grateful for the people who have been patient with me and stood by me through pandemic. Grateful for food, grateful to be alive, grateful for my roof, grateful for nature. Grateful for my education even though I'm forever noticing articles with false facts and realizing these people are paid to make up shit while I actually took the time to read books and learn. But whatever. Maybe one day education will be free for everyone and then I won't have to suffer through all this ignorance. Also grateful for the salt bath and reading session I'm about to take, so I will see you later!
