I read something about how you should reach out for help when you need it instead of being bitter, which sounds reasonable, but then I remembered how most of the times I asked for help from men, I was ignored, or at best, gaslit, or a sexual exchange was expected in return. Women are more likely to help, but even then, a few of my closest exchanges have felt very one-way or unreliable, and the few times I pointed it out all I received was defensiveness which still didn't lead to being helped.
So, that's why I don't ask for help anymore. Cool story, right?!
