Watched Squid Game today with the Not-Currently-Alcoholic. It's all kinds of yikes and difficult to watch but we got sucked in.
Also been playing lots of vr games. I'm a gamer now? Unusual for me, although I do like to try new things. The part of my personality that gets bored of a thing as soon as I master it and wants to immediately learn a new totally different thing... is very obvious when I play video games. The moment I'm good, I quit or want to buy a new game. I am like this with everything. It bothers people who prefer to do only one thing very well till they die of boredom or win a trophy or whatever. I find that mentally growth stunting (or risky if investing all your time/money/energy in only one thing without diversifying your skillset) but to each their own.
We also went to our favorite secret part of the bay where there were no people at all, so we played badminton, which was fun.
We ate very well these past few days. I love his cooking. I told him he's literally keeping me alive. He said I do that for him too. It's been nice. Hugs are good.
It'll be good to enjoy solitude the next several days, too. To recharge.
Grateful for entertaining distractions, hugs, good food, the bay, badminton, video games, and the safety of home.
